The RSL Aged and Health Support department provides advice and support to members of the ex-service community, their families and carers.  

Our professional staff are experienced in aged care matters and are also able to provide information about many health issues, particularly those related to the ex-service community.  We are able to provide individuals, family members and the broader community with information and advice.

• Provides Transportation for frail/aged care residents to luncheons and entertainment activities
• Group outings to places of interest for socially isolated members

• Exercise programs – Currently the RSL has two programs operating twice weekly specifically for the veteran community and members of the club
• Agestrong – A strengthening and balance program targeting older people who no longer feel confident and have limitations in mobility.
• The PACE Program for LIFELONG Health – An ongoing progressive, structured exercise and health education program.

The aim of both programs through resistance training exercises is to improve muscle strength, balance, flexibility and functioning in daily activities with reduced risk of falls.

Volunteers offer their time in many areas of club activities and new volunteers are always welcome. The RSL supports and values the contribution our volunteers make to enrich the lives and support our ageing veterans.  Do you have a spare hour or two: contact the Welfare Coordinator and you will be matched to an activity of interest.
