
An important part of our acknowledgment of Australia’s proud military history is the commemoration of key events within that history. Frankston RSL key commemorative activities are held at the Cenotaph located at the Frankston Council Chambers in Davey Street Frankston.
Frankston RSL key commemorative activities are:
ANZAC Day - 25th April
Commemorates the landing at Gallipoli on 25th April 1915 - is Australia’s National Day of Remembrance.
ANZAC Day - 2010
Dawn Service
The 2010 Dawn Commemoration Service will commence at 6.ooam at the Frankston Cenotaph followed by a Gunfire Breakfast.
11.00am March & Service
The 2010 march will congregate behind the council buildings at 10.45am and set off at 11.00am. A commemorative service in front of the Cenotaph will follow.

Vietnam Veterans - ‘Long Tan’ Day - 18th August
Commemorates Australia’s involvement in the Vietnam War and the Battle of Long Tan on 18th August 1966.

‘VP’ Day - 15th August
Commemorates the end of World War 2 on the 15th August 1945.
Remembrance Day - 11th November
Commemorates the end of World War 1 on the 11th November 1918.
