ANZAC Day 2021

ANZAC Appeal

We are happy to advise that the selling of ANZAC Day badges in the community will once again be happening in 2021.

We are seeking assistance from members to sell ANZAC Badges at several major shopping centres in and around the Frankston area from Saturday April 10th until Sunday April 24th and help raise valuable funds to support our veterans and their families who are in necessitous circumstances.

Badge sellers will be asked to work in pairs for a THREE hour shift either 9.00AM to 12.PM, 12PM to 3PM, or 3 PM to 5.30PM. at one of the sites in the major local Shopping Centres. A table, chairs, selling trays, back up stock and POS materials will be set up for you together with an EFTPOS machine for potential badge buyers who no longer carry hard cash. Full training will be provided on the use of the EFTPOS machine if needed.

ANZAC Day Services

ANZAC Day will once again have a different look to it, than we are used to.

Unfortunately there will not be a dawn service held this year, in lieu, we encourage everyone to #lightupthedawn as we did last year and light a candle, and stand at the top of your driveaway at dawn. further details of how you can do this can be found here

The Committee will be holding a small wreath laying ceremony at the Cenotaph in Beauty Park, at 11am. If you intend on attending, please have the Service Victoria QR Code tracker downloaded onto your phone so that you can check in at Beauty Park if you arrive.

Although, again, not as big as we are used to, the Club will be open to Service Members and their families for a special lunch service.
Bookings for this will need to be made over the phone, by calling 8792 4400. Please have the membership number of the Service member attending available at the time of booking.
