2020 is bringing a big change to the Frankston RSL. Construction has started on one of our biggest development projects the Club has seen.
From the first week of February, you will see changes when you visit the RSL. Our first stage will see the following:
Snooker & Billiards: Have now relocated to the Pavilion. The tables will still be free to access for Frankston RSL members, during set times. Click HERE to see opening hours. As before, please leave your membership card at the Members Bar and collect balls.
Darts: All darts playing sessions will be played away from the club until approximately July 2020.
Smoking Area off Members Bar: This area will be shortly closed to access from the public. This area will be making way for a major redevelopment that will see a brand new outdoor dining area, including a new kids area and food truck!
TAB & Members Bar: The existing TAB area is now under development, TAB facilities are still available and staff can advise of the alternative arrangements in the club. The Members bar will be transformed into a state of the art bar with 20 taps pouring all you favourites – plus some! The area will be extended in size and will accommodate a HUGE multi screen TV wall that will screen all the major sporting events, a brand new TAB area with EBT facilities, as well as new Darts area, all housed under acoustically engineered ceiling panels, that will mean clear sound specific to the area that you are seated in.
Friday Night raffles: Friday night raffles will be held as normal, however may be relocated to the Simpson Room on occasion due to renovations taking place. Our Monthly Mega Raffles have been postponed until further notice as the renovations are happening.
Please be mindful that there will be disruptions and limited space in areas as the development gets underway and as it progresses. We as a club are working hard behind the scenes to minimise these disruptions as best possible.
As we move through the stages we will be updating with all that is happening and the plans for the following stage.
Completion of our development is due Late October, Early November 2020.
The first 2 weeks of Demolition…..
Our builders have moved fast demolish the area that used to hold the TAB, Snooker & Darts, along with the outside alfresco, walkway through to CP and the CP stage.
The members bar is still operational, just smaller in seating area. CP is now only accessible via the entrance near the kids room in the Bistro.
Due to this limited access and loss of seating, CP will now only be open on the following days;
Tuesday – Saturday: from 5:30pm
Friday & Saturday: Afternoon menu available by ordering at the members bar.
Sunday & Monday: CLOSED
